Belgrade is a great place to be for food lovers! You will definitely enjoy Serbia’s rich cuisine. You will also find plenty of great places for food and drinks. We managed to find quite some good ones during our short trip and all of them have my (our) recommendation.
This is the place where you can have yummy burgers with yummy fries with cold beer on the side. You can easily reach it from Kralja Petra Street.
Service was a bit slow but we did enjoy the breakfast menus of Jazz Cafe. There is also live music on Friday and Saturday nights so keep it in mind if you are a jazz/blues lover!
Coffeedream is basically local Starbucks of Belgrade. You can either enjoy their rich coffee menu or go crazy with herb teas, cocktails cakes and ice-creams. They have a big menu and everything on their list is highly delicious.
Gradska is a nice place to try traditional cuisine. The staff is really friendly and helpful. And the local wine we tried there was so great. They offered rakija before the food, which kind of killed our insides as it was heavier than we expected. But still, go there enjoy the nice atmosphere.
Old London is a great place to enjoy good beer, snacks and games with your friends.
I am a true breakfast person and Kozmetičar made all of my breakfast dreams and wishes come true. It is a super cozy place with friendly staff, where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee or check out their wide selection of teas. I still have the taste of Eggs Benedict in my mouth.
Amélie is such a cute little cozy place with lovely interior design. You will love it the moment you enter inside and you can easily spend hours without realising it.
Znak Pitanja (?)
Zane Pitanja is also known as the “Question Mark”. It is the oldest “kafana” of Belgrade and you will enjoy the atmosphere for sure. The staff was super warm and helpful, and food was delicious. Do not be surprised if you find yourself singing/dancing with other customers after a very short while.
Coffee Room Palace
Coffee Room Palace is a real heaven of breakfast, deserts and macarons. Oh those macarons! No need to go all the way to Paris to have a macaron climax, Coffee Room Palace will get you covered.
Blaznavac is a nice cocktail bar located in Alice’s Wonderland. You will enjoy this nicely decorated place with rich history so much.
The Passengers is a great place to enjoy a cold beer. They also have a nice hidden garden for summer times. House beer is highly recommended, or you can just pick something from their wide selection of beers.
It is a little bit hidden so you may not notice it at the first glance. But Smokvica is another heaven of breakfast and all other beautiful things in the world. It is decorated like your grandmother’s house so you will definitely feel home there.
The name speaks for itself, Koffein is the correct address to get your daily cup of joe. I personally recommend their filter coffee with eclair with pistachio on the side.
The service is a bit slow but the food was great so if you are not in a hurry, it is worth waiting for it. Try the local wine with your food (and also before your food).
You can also check out Pastis, Jimmy Woo, D Bar, Dorian Grey, Boutique and Rakia Bar, especially for a warm-up before your night out.
