There is a globally known fact: the food is super good in Barcelona. So if you avoid over priced touristy places, you will already be more than happy with your food.
Hereby my favourite places which I highly recommend you to visit:
- Bar Kasparo
Kasparo is a great get away point from La Rambla crowd. It is located on a nice square and is a great place to have some beers and tapas with your loved ones. My friend Rahman took me here right after I said “I am hungry and craving for some tapas.” and I am still thankful him for that.
- Bar Tomas
A friend suggested me to go have some patatas bravas at Bar Tomas and I hesitated a lot as it was not so central. I am still happy today that I did not let my laziness win over me. Not so attractive from outside yet Bar Tomas will serve you the very best patatas bravas. It is very authentic and worths the metro ride. I stopped counting my rounds of tapas after the third one…It is THAT good!
- La Taguara Areperia
You can never have too much tapas or paella but if you are in for some Venezuelan food at an authentic place, then add La Taguara Areperia to your list. It was my first time yet I could not have been more pleased with my food!
- Bar Lafuente
Just one of those non-central places where you can have great food with local people surrounding you.
- El Vaso De Oro
If not for the food, visit El Vaso De Oro only for the atmosphere. Packed with local people enjoying their own brewed beer and food, staff who very obviously enjoys every moment they serve the customers will give you a great food experience.
- BrewDog Bar
I was on my way to meet a friend when I passed by BrewDog. My friend was asking me whether it was fine to meet later. And I was like “I think I found myself a suitable place to wait for you.”
BrewDog has amazing beer and great staff, who were extremely helpful translating me everything on the menu and telling me all about their beers. Must visit place for every craft beer lover visiting Barcelona!
